Housekeeping Supervisor

Duties include:

  • Supervising and co-ordinating the work of housekeeping room attendants
  • Inspecting guest rooms to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Training housekeeping staff
  • Preparing work schedule and co-ordinating activities with other departments

Guest Services Attendant (Bellperson)

Duties include:

  • Carrying luggage for hotel guests
  • Offering information regarding features of hotel rooms and hotel services
  • Offering information and making bookings for local attractions and points of interest
  • Maintaining luggage storage areas
  • Providing valet parking services

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous customer service experience
  • Is physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy luggage
  • Is friendly and engaging and enjoys talking to people
  • Holds a clean Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License

Front Desk Agent

Duties include:

  • Provide superior customer service to arriving tour, conference and individual guests
  • Registering arrivals and departures of tours and hotel guests
  • Answering guest inquiries regarding rates, special packages and general information
  • Presenting billing for services and receiving payment; exchange foreign currency
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash and related forms.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 1 to 2 years previous hotel front desk experience
  • Is self-motivated and well-organized
  • Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
  • Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
  • Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests
  • Has experience working with Microsoft Office

Terrace Fine Dining Chef de Cuisine

Responsible for overseeing all daily operations of a fine dining kitchen servicing The Terrace Dining Room, Terrace Lounge and limited Room Service. Emphasis is placed on food quality and controlling costs. Minimum 3 years previous related supervisory experience, with Journeyman papers and Red Seal certification. Reporting to the Executive Chef, duties include:

  • Menu planning and development in co-operation with the Executive Chef
  • Scheduling and training for fulltime staff of four
  • Inventory control
  • Kitchen organization and sanitation
  • English comprehension and communication skills
  • Capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
