Front Desk Agent- September/October Opening - Bow View Lodge

$11.00 to $13.50 Hourly, 40.00 hours per week, bonus, gratuities, other benefits, medical benefits, dental benefits, life insurance benefits, group and vision care

  • Take, cancel and change room reservations, process telephone calls.
  • Provide Information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information and services required for guests with special needs.
  • Customer service oriented work with minimal supervision.
  • Clerical duties (i.e faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Staff accommodation available, urban area.
  • Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with others and problem solving.
  • Decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has 1 to 2 year previous hotel front desk or reservation experience.
  • Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail.
  • Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone.
  • Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests.
  • Has experience working with Microsoft Office.

Hotel Pool Cleaner

Duties include:

  • Sweep, mop and wash floors
  • Dealing with chemicals
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Clean and disinfect elevators, pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Maintaining the common area of pool, shower and change room
  • Must be able to work overnight
  • Inspecting guest rooms to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Training housekeeping staff
  • Preparing work schedule and co-ordinating activities with other departments

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous housekeeping and supervisory experience
  • Is physically fit and able to walk extensively
  • Is able to communicate effectively and positively with staff under their supervision
  • Has high standards and a keen attention to detail
  • Is able to help clean rooms as needed to best ensure guest satisfaction

Guest Services Attendant (Bellperson)

Duties include:

  • Carrying luggage for hotel guests
  • Offering information regarding features of hotel rooms and hotel services
  • Offering information and making bookings for local attractions and points of interest
  • Maintaining luggage storage areas
  • Providing valet parking services

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous customer service experience
  • Is physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy luggage

Front Desk Agent- Relief Over Night

Duties include:

  • Provide superior customer service to arriving tour, conference and individual guests
  • Registering arrivals and departures of tours and hotel guests
  • Answering guest inquiries regarding rates, special packages and general information
  • Presenting billing for services and receiving payment; exchange foreign currency
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash and related forms.
