La Terrazza Ristorante & Lounge Supervisor

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to provide memorable dining experiences, exceeding our guest’s expectations
  • In the absence of the La Terrazza Manager, lead and manage the service team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Ensure effective working relationships and clear communication with all colleagues and leaders in the restaurant and other departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required·
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sale System required·
  • A dynamic leader with strong organizational skills and passion for Food & Beverage
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Displays high initiative and requires minimal supervision and direction

Second Cook

We are seeking a full-time permanent Second Cook, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime hours. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that food is properly stored and handled at all times
  • Ensuring that the quality and quantity of food prepared meets hotel standards
  • Managing a clean, sanitized work station during and at the end of shift
  • Ensuring that food waste and spoilage are kept to a minimum

Ideal candidate:

  • Reliable and can commit to at least 6 months
  • Aspiring to become an apprentice
  • Experience in a hotel restaurant cooking is an asset

Reservations Agent

We are seeking one full-time, permanent Reservation Agent, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Wage is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Take, cancel and change room reservations, process telephone calls
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information about services required for guests with special needs
  • Customer service oriented, work with minimal supervision
  • Clerical duties (i.e faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with other, problem solving
  • Decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing.
  • Provide assistance to the Front Desk Agents as needed.

Ideal candidate:

  • Has 1 to 2 year previous hotel front desk or reservation experience
  • Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
  • Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
  • Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests

Head Steward

Seeking one full-time, permanent Head Steward, required to split shifts, with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
• Keeps work station clean and organized including fridge’s, counter tops and cooking equipment
• Ensures that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
• Keeps overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensures proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food in order to reduce food
cost expense.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Chef De Partie

Seeking a full-time, permanent Chef De Partie, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for a formal hotel dining room
• Estimate food requirements, prepare and cook meals and specialty foods including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Instruct cooks in preparation, garnishing and presentation of food and in new cooking techniques
• Plan menus, ensure quality of food and portion control and create new recipes
