Assistant Maintenance Manager

Seeking one full-time, permanent Assistant Maintenance Manager, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Effective and timely resolution of all maintenance concerns
• Coordinating and managing internal maintenance and grounds colleagues as well as contractors and tradesmen
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems
• Ensure comprehensive preventative maintenance program is effectively implemented and maintained
• Develop and hold accountable preventative maintenance practices which ensure the longevity of all equipment, including the monitoring and tendering of all service contracts
• Maintain the pools and whirlpools by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing
• Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times with a commitment to working safely
• Responding and addressing any staff accommodation concerns
• 24/7 first response for all Emergency situations including but not limited to fire, flood, electrical or mechanical failures within the building
• Additional duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• A trade or Power Engineering Certificate is essential
• Pool Operators Certificate would be considered an asset
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communications skills and follow up skills
• Experience in preventative maintenance, energy management, fire safety, and health and safety
• Alberta Drivers License or International Equivalent
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Computer knowledge required

Overnight Pool Cleaner

Seeking one full-time, permanent Overnight Pool Cleaner, required to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage starts between $11.50-$12.00 per hour for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Check pools for dirt and debris on a daily basis
• Scrub pool floors and walls using sponges, soap and chemicals
• Clean and disinfect drain pipes to make-certain that no clogs are apparent
• Empty, replace, or repair pool traps and filters
• Fill pool with water after maintenance activities have been performed

Ideal Candidate:

• NSPF Certification, not required but beneficial
• Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
• Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor
• Has excellent English skills and can follow direction
• Must be physically fit

Laundry Attendant

We are currently seeking two full-time, permanent Laundry Attendants, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage is $10.20-$11.00 per hour for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
• Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles, assemble and bag finished articles
• Operate in house washer/dryer units
• Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from two adjacent hotel properties
