Bow View Lodge Housekeeping Room Attendant

Seeking full-time, permanent Room Attendants, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Stock linen closet, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies
• Provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings

Pastry Chef

Laundry Runner (Summer 2016)

We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Laundry Attendant, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
• Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles, assemble and bag finished articles
• Operate in house washer/dryer units
• Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from two adjacent hotel properties

HR/Staff Housing Coordinator

Summary of Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to guests, colleagues and visitors
• Provide a wide range of human resources services to the company, in support of business objectives and human resource initiatives, while maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of employees
• Be the first point of contact for in-person colleague inquiries in the HR Office
• Responsible for fulfilling requests including:
o Issuing new name tags, parking passes, ving cards, meal tickets
o Email password assistance
o Providing departure information
o Writing letters of employment
o General information or special requests when required
o Reference checks, verification of employment
• Regular audits for lockers, system users, etc.
• Ensures employee data is entered/recorded accurately via our HRM System or internal systems, including:
o New hire information
o Colleague Performance Reviews
o Colleague Training participation
• Coordinate colleague relations efforts, such as:
o Maintaining a library of colleague photos and assisting with photography at events
o Leading the implementation and organization of staff
events
• Provide assistance in all phases of the recruiting process: job advertising, screening candidates, conducting interviews, completing reference and background checks, making job offers, and processing all new hire paperwork
• Manage a demanding workload and maintain the flexibility to deal with requests, issues, and situations as they arise
• Must be an extremely strong communicator and have a strong knowledge of legislation and progressive HR practices
• Assist the Human Resources Manager with the implementation and facilitation of Orientation and other Colleague training
• Manage staff accommodations, which includes:
o Maintain a record of Colleagues in staff accommodation
o Following up on Colleague requests in a timely manner
o Complete check ins and check outs, maintain cleanliness
o Monthly inspections reporting on all concerns and following up
• Complete exit interviews and complete all termination paperwork as required
• Assist with other Human Resources functions and tasks as required

Qualifications:
• Previous hospitality and/or human resources experience, minimum 1 year required
• Previous Property Management experience an asset
• Degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources Management or related program is an asset
• Must have strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Proven interpersonal skills, both written and oral and the ability to exhibit confidence in providing constructive feedback and managing sensitive conversations
• Highly responsible, organized and innovative with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Driven and energetic self-starter who thrives on a challenge
• Must have a valid class 5 Alberta drivers licence

We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Maintenance Worker, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Wage based on experience.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems
• Ensure comprehensive preventative maintenance program is effectively implemented and maintained
• Maintain the pools and whirlpools by ensuring a safe chemical balance through frequent testing
• Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times with a commitment to working safely
