Senior Room Attendant (Homestead Inn)

Seeking one full-time, permanent Senior Room Attendant, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage is to be negotiated based on experience for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Check finished dry-cleaned or laundered articles to ensure that establishment standards are met
• Record damage or improper cleaning or laundering of articles, assemble and bag finished articles
• Operate in house washer/dryer units
• Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from two adjacent hotel properties

Ideal Candidate:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds

Assistant Catering Manager (One Year Mat Leave Contract)

Seeking one full-time, permanent Assistant Catering Manager, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Lead and manage the Banquet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
• Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
• Train colleagues and supervisors in the absence of a trainer

Banquet Supervisor

Seeking one full-time, permanent Banquet Supervisor, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Supervise, and co-ordinate the activities of servers, bartenders, and catering staff
• Check room set-ups for correctness against BEO
• Plan and co-ordinate event details with kitchen, stewarding and catering
• Implement sequence of service, conducts pre-shift briefings and relates all pertinent information with staff
• Uphold staff appearance and grooming policies
• Supervise and assist with personalized service to enhance guest experience
• Ensure standards are enforced through diligent follow up of all functions
• Direct staff in maintaining clean, tidy and organized back of house service areas
• Build and maintain a liaison with function organizers before, during and after all services to ensure all needs are met and exceeded
• Communicate with catering and all other departments as needed on the outcome, challenges and successes of all functions
• Ensure a high level of department morale is maintained by:
• Coaching and counseling of line staff
• Ensuring the clear and accurate communication of hotel and department policies, news and events.
• Ensure that all financial reporting is maintained and accurate
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and / or Assistant Banquet Managers that relate to the overall operation

Relief Housekeeping Supervisor/Room Attendant (Bow View Lodge)

Seeking one full-time, permanent Relief Housekeeping Supervisor, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be based on experience, for 35-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are notlimited to):

• Two shifts per week acting as Housekeeping Supervisor and three shifts as a Room Attendant
• Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other item
• Work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching and kneeling
• Training of new staff and ongoing training of existing staff
