Second Cook

We are seeking a full-time permanent Second Cook, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime hours. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring that food is properly stored and handled at all times
  • Ensuring that the quality and quantity of food prepared meets hotel standards
  • Managing a clean, sanitized work station during and at the end of shift
  • Ensuring that food waste and spoilage are kept to a minimum

Ideal candidate:

  • Reliable and can commit to at least 6 months
  • Aspiring to become an apprentice
  • Experience in a hotel restaurant cooking is an asset
  • Prepares high quality food and follows superior sanitation standards
  • Is physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
  • Is a team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people


Bow View Lodge Room Attendant

Seeking full-time, permanent Room Attendants, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience, for 32-40 hours per week. Start dates are in February, April and May 2019.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Stock linen closet, clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies
• Provide basic information on facilities, pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Ideal Candidate:
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds
• Must follow grooming standards
• Experience is an asset


Bow View Lodge Front Desk Agent (May Start Date)

Seeking full-time, permanent Front Desk Agent, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Take, cancel and change room reservations, process telephone calls
• Provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information and services required for guests with special needs
• Customer service oriented work with minimal supervision
• Clerical duties (i.e faxing, filing, photocopying)
• Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with others and problem solving
• Decision making, critical thinking job task planning and organizing

Ideal Candidate

• Has 1 to 2 year previous hotel front desk or reservation experience
• Is a capable multi-tasker with a keen attention to detail
• Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
• Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests
• Has experience working with Microsoft Office


House Person (May Start Date)

We are seeking two full-time, permanent House Persons, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 32-40 hours per week. Start date is in May 2019.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment of all the public spaces throughout the property
  • Sweep, mop and wash floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Stock linen closet, clean and disinfect public bathrooms and fixtures, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies
  • Provide basic information on facilities; pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls and ceilings
  • Clean all corridors, pool change rooms, public spaces empty garbage/recycling bins

Night Bellman

We are currently seeking one full-time, permanent Bell Attendant, required to work night shifts (11PM-7AM), weekends and holidays under normal circumstances. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 32-40 hours per week.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • High standard of customer service
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of the hotel and surrounding area
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license

Chef De Partie

Seeking a full-time, permanent Chef De Partie, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The salary for this position is based on experience, 32-40 hours per week.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for a formal hotel dining room
• Estimate food requirements, prepare and cook meals and specialty foods including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Instruct cooks in preparation, garnishing and presentation of food and in new cooking techniques
• Plan menus, ensure quality of food and portion control and create new recipes
• Requisition food, kitchen supplies and equipment
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff

Ideal Candidate:
• Cook trade certification required from a recognized vocational or technical college
• Three or more years’ experience in commercial cooking
• Fluent in English language (orally and written, and accurate numeracy)
• Working with others and supervising in a team environment
• Must be bondable
• Must possess good sense of taste, good health and stamina, excellent hand eye co-ordination, good math skills, good memory for details, and be artistic and have a creative talent
• Must have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and team building skills
• Must have excellent organizational skills and maintain a calm demeanour
