Wedding Policy

The Banff Park Lodge works hard to gain your trust, and we want to help make your event perfect. We offer full service weddings, reunions, and business meetings, and we strive to make every detail perfect.

Please review the following guidelines and policies for booking our many services.

Please note that these guidelines and policies are subject to revision without notice.

Deposits

  • A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking to secure your function space.
  • 50% of the estimated total function cost (space + food & beverage + accommodation) is required 90 days in advance of your function.
  • The balance of the estimated total function cost is required 2 weeks prior to your function.
  • A guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed 72 hours in advance of the function. Charges will be applied based on the guaranteed number, or upon the total number served, whichever is greater.

Cancellation

  • If the function is canceled with 60 days notice (or more), the second deposit will be refunded.
  • Should the function be cancelled with less than 60 days notice, all deposits shall be nonrefundable.

Food and Beverage

  • A 15% gratuity and 6% GST will be added to all food and beverage prices.
  • For any event in our facility, the Banff Park Lodge will be the supplier of food and beverage, with the exception of wedding cakes, which may be supplied by our guests. (Please note: Wedding cakes prepared by our chefs are available upon request).
  • Cash and host bars are available. A bartender charge (minimum 3 hours at $20.00 per hour) will apply should bar revenue be less than $300.00.
  • With proper licensing, guests may provide their own alcoholic beverages; however, a corkage fee will be applied.

Other

  • We cannot guarantee access to the function space more than one hour prior to scheduled booking.
  • If the wedding ceremony is scheduled prior to 5 p.m., we suggest booking the accommodation the day prior. We are unable to guarantee check in until 3 p.m.
  • The Banff Park Lodge is not responsible for damages to or loss of any article left in the hotel, prior to, during, or after any function by the customer or guests.
  • Should damages occur in a function room or guest room due to negligence of members in the wedding group, an assessment for damages will be added to the final bill, payable upon check out.
