At the heart and soul of your
Banff getaway.

Here, it’s all about location, location, location!

Banff Park Lodge is conveniently located in close proximity to the very best that the Town of Banff and Banff National Park have to offer. You’re just a quick walk from Banff’s entertainment district, which includes vibrant shops, unique restaurants, all culminating in the most scenic main street in Canada – the Woonerf.

Or maybe you’re looking to venture outdoors, discover riverside walking trails, canoe, kayak, mountain bike, cross country ski in the winter, or explore in Canada’s original national park.

Forged by family. Steeped in tradition.

Founded in 1978, Banff Park Lodge was purchased by the Horiguchi family in 1988. The family’s background in real estate made the purchase seem logical enough with only one catch: they had never before set foot on Canadian soil. But upon discovering the Lodge’s prime location and long-term business prospects, the Horiguchi’s threw caution to the wind and embarked on a unique adventure in the Canadian hotel business.

Over the course of those early years, Masataka Horiguchi, the son of the new owners, visited Banff with his family and fell in love with the Canadian Rockies. In 2001 Masa came to work at the Lodge as a bellman and for the past 20 years has had hands-on experience in nearly every department which has led to a truly holistic and detail-oriented approach to ownership.

Giving back to keep Banff beautiful.

Four Stars

Great hotel
This was my first stay at this hotel and I totally enjoyed it! The reception was wonderful, the young man who helped me check in was very friendly and personable! So was the young man who helped me at check out. It was so nice and quiet. I had in-room dining and that was a good experience as well! I will be back!

Staycation
The location is excellent, everything is walking distance. We went for a snowboarding weekend and it was great. The pool area is well taken care, all the common areas are clean and the underground parking is very convenient for snowy days.

A friendly face in a pinch
Unlike other recent stays, we needed a room on short notice when the highway to between Banff and Golden was closed overnight. The reso was hassle-free and the check-in/out process could not have been easier. We will be back of course.
